called down?

So today during 4th period communications class where i was minding my own business and doing my website, Mr. Bierworth intervened via the loudspeaker. He stated "Mrs Krieger" "yes" "can you please send matthew scott ruggieri down to the office?" Now thats all good and grand but it was so funny because of the emphasis he put on my middle name, like I, Matt Ruggieri, was in trouble or something. Hahaha, well on my way there I was thinking of all the things that I have done in the past like two weeks that I could've gotten in trouble for, and I couldn't think of one thing.

Well he really just called me down cause I am a super student and wanted to confirm a story. It was kind of funny actually.

coldstone!

coldstone creamery is the greatest ice cream place ever. I don't know how i ever lived without one for 16 years of my childhood. Well anyways, it's story time:

So me sleezy typ and little ericka went to the Coldstone in vestal and the line was mad long so we decided to go to the one in Bing. No one knew where they were going except me and typ is terrible at following directions. Well we ended up getting lost because he took the wrong exit after i told him to take the next one and we had to drive all the way to like Garys-u-pull it because that was the next exit after the hillcrest exit. Well we finally turned around and got our ice cream which was amazing. Then drove home.

-1 hour of sleep

well that sucked this morning I had to turn my clock ahead and stuff so I guess I woke up earlier than I normally would have...

you know what else sucks, people in power positions who try to bully other people around. It's not cool, you're not cool, get a life.

Apart from that, everything seems to be going very well, I purchased a camry yesterday, nice little car. Probably a smart decision for college because its got a lot of room and stuff so i can pack a whole bunch of shit in the back and get away with it.

administration

So today Ms Brunger-bitch told me that she was mad that she took time to interrupt her lunch to come talk with me. Wow, I'm so glad our administration cares so much about our students. I'm so glad im getting the hell out of this school because its so stupid. They take pride in making students feel unconnected with administration and take their power to their dome. They talk about how they want to be close to the students and make things work, but really, they want to seperate themselves from the student body and show them exactly how they take their power to their head and make a big deal about nothing.

How can an administrator say "I can't believe I took time away from eating my lunch to talk to you" ? This is mind boggling, how someone thats supposed to be there to help you is completely against you and says stuff like that. Get a life Brunger-bitch.

Schoolio

Senior Study Hall, what a joke. Every other school in the area has a free period for seniors and stuff so they can leave campus and stuff. Well you know what sucks, UE seniors must stay on campus and actually go to a study hall. That is so retarded I don't get it. I mean, so what if you skip study hall its not like its an actual class, and to get ISD for skipping study hall is so stupid. We don't even do any work because its so hard to study or do anything because its a "relaxed atmosphere."

by the way, I hear Vestal already got tomorrow off.

hustlers.

I'm back again today, you know, round two of blogging. I'm here tonight to speak about hustlas. Not only are they deceiving, but also a little sly I must admit. I was approached today about joining a fantasy baseball league today for 5 dollars, I declined because I'm not much of a gambler, and don't really pay attention to that fantasy bullshit. Well I was speaking with this kind sir tonight and he told me that he was going to gather the money, but something, sell it for more than he bought it for, and basically double his profit at the expense of others, but little do the others know that their money is being used to hustle different people. It's kind of funny to hear about all of this stuff, and I do personally think that it is quite hilarious. Lets just see in 7 months if this sly character still has the money to post up for the winner.

i noticed richelle had a couple of cheering videos, and i wanted to add one to her collection...this is my favorite team(besides ue)(considering i know like half the girls on it :) ). Well this was at one of their national competitions, not as good as the top gun because its not coed and they're not the level that top gun is at, but stil pretty good.

car shopping.

Car shopping is such a hassle. First I find these two nice cars that I think about buying and today I went to check them out. Well apart from being the same price, having all the same features(basically) and almost the same amount of miles, it made my decision, that i have not made yet, very difficult. I am debating between a nissan altima and a nissan maxima. Both very nice and stuff, basic differences are the year (2001 altima vs 1997 maxima), the sunroof(altima - no, maxima - yes), the engine size(altima - 2.4 I4, maxima - 3.0 V6), the transmission(altima - standard, more fun to drive; maxima, automatic, almost as fun to drive), and the mileage(altima - 101647[14.25k miles per year], maxima - 98325[9000k miles per year]). Other than that the cars are quite similar, and this complicates the decision. Oh well you're probably going to see me cruising around in the Maxima.

Computer games.

Solitaire could possibly be the greatest computer/ipod game ever. It gets really intense, especially when you try to beat the clock and get like the best score ever. I really enjoy trying to beat the game, except when I can't, then i get really really really upset.

Apart from solitaire, minesweeper has stolen my electronics heart. Not only do my oldest brother and I get in huge battles about who can beat the game faster (I currently hold the fastest 10x10 board score with 6 seconds, he has all the other high scores), but it keeps my occupied for days on end, similar to halo.

Which computer game is your favorite?

Nissan for sale.

1998 Nissan 200SX for sale. 1.6l I4 engine, very good gas mileage, 30+ miles per gallon city. 140k miles, but that's low miles for a Nissan. Slight cosmetic blemishes. Ran good, hole in radiator and leaked all antifreeze. Currently doesn't run because of lack of antifreeze. New radiator fixes almost everything. Small dent in front bumper. Message me for pix. Make offer, 6073410342, will negotiate.

The power of politics.

Instilled in the position of Vice President of student government is the responsibility of doing announcements everyday. This isn't a responsibility really, because the payoffs are greater than the responsibilities themself. I get to leave class early, everyday, and if i find it at all neccessary to talk to someone, I can call them down to the main office and just chat with them in between first and second periods. It's the perfect oppurtunity to discuss things that you may not have been aware of, and it is a good time to tell people important things.

Also being Student Government Vice President allows me to create sweet sporting tournaments, such as the volleyball tournament coming up next sunday which I expect everyone to have a team for. Its way more fun if lots of people have teams. And the flag football tournament is just over the horizon, another fun time.

People in power positions are not very smart.

Well we got out of school early today, but was it early enough? I think not, especially because of the severity of the storm that was headed this way. Not only was there at least three inches of snow that had already fell by the time I got home(I left early too, so there was probably 4 by the time everyone else left), but throughout the day I heard numerous sirens indication snow related accidents.

What is this bullshit that we have to suffer through: "All schools are dismissed one hour early." Please, save a life superintendent, release us at 12, a safe time for everyone to get home, instead of 215 when I was barely able to make it home at 130. Thanks to the graciousness of my father to make me a path up the hill.

What goes through this man's mind? Lets make all the kids suffer and all the kids that drive very nervous just so we can get in an extra hour and fifteen minutes of learning. Come on now, it really isn't that important. And what makes it even more not important is how i just looked out my window onto the road and noticed a school bus sliding down the hill, and now spinning its tires to get back up the hill. That bus is putting numerous children's lives in danger all for an extra hour of learning. Wow. What Union-Endicott has come to, thank god Im leaving because the authority figures in the school are paid way too much to be way too stupid.

blog about another blog.

Well, the first thing I tried was just clicking next blog. It was pretty sweet except this dude had to have been from Ecuador or something because his whole blog was in a different language. It had like a million pictures of him on some crazy vacation and I was going to tell a story about what was really going on but it wasn't worth it. It was kind of funny though and I wish i still had the link.

Otherwise I got really into this: How to build a log cabin....in Michigan. I mean, its not just about building log cabins or anything, its about building them in Michigan, not that its really and different from building them anywhere else. Well it looks like they spent a lot of time and a lot of money(that could've been spent on sweet exotic cars or something) on this house. I guess its pretty sweet considering its like all woood and stuff, but I just hope theres no woodpeckers or woodchucks in Michigan or they're screwed. Check out this blog its really cool, theres some sweet pictures of wood and stuff. Probably not something you would see much of in little old Endicott, but I bet if we lived in exotic Michigan, we would see these all over.

"I'm going to blog about this later."

"I'm going to blog about this later." - Erik with a k, Rugs, T Blzer, and most everyone else taking communications.

This quote has become a staple of my life during the past two weeks of school(or no school in the event of last week). Things happen and I always say im going to blog about that later, but I always forget what I was going to blog about when the time comes to start blogging. For example, I had this great thing I was going to blog about this morning, and I even said I was going to blog about it this morning, but I forgot what it was. It's like once you say that, you automatically forget it, no matter how hard you try. Oh well, I created this blog from nothing and it turned out ok.

Well tomorrow morning I'm doing an experiment, a survey I suppose. Mrs. Burrell was convinced today during SSH that none of her freshman in her first period class use cell phones during class. Me and Victoria laughed hysterically and told her that she must be kidding. So I'm going to sit in tomorrow and count how many people use their cell phones in the first ten minutes of class. This will be fun.

halo service tag

I thought this was pretty sweet so I decided to throw it into my blog too, this way you could see exactly how amazing I am at halo...I'm still working out the bugs I suppose so it doesn't completely work yet. Oh well its still pretty sweet.

Well today I came to the realization that some places are a complete rip off, and other places actually have decent prices. I went to buy a dvd, The Simpsons Movie, its a good comedy you know, a classic movie to have on demand in every movie collection(of which I have over 500). Anyways, I stopped over at Target and got it there for a mere 10.80. I walked over to circuit city there to see if they had anything good there and I couldn't help but notice that same DVD at Circuit City for an expensive 24.99. What a rip off, I don't know why people have to be so lazy and not walk over and check out other prices before they actually make a decision.

Still happy thoughts

I had a bowl of ice cream today. It was delicious. I put some chocolate syrup and caramel syrup on it. And some sprinkes. My cousin slept over last night, hes so cute cause hes like 2 and he always wants to play with me. He woke me up this morning but it was fine i didn't care, besides I really wanted to go downstairs to post a blog anyways, cause blogging is so much fun.

Mrs. Krieger's dog is still really cute. I must be off to work though.

Matt Ruggieri should be demoted from his sea of orange leadership position

Please everyone check out Kathleen Murray's blogger its got a great poll about demoting me as sea of orange leader, vote yes, make her happy, I voted yes. You can access her profile by the links on the left side of my blogger account.

As a matter of fact, I would like to come out and tell everyone that I am the hypocritical jerk that Richelle is referring to. She said this person would remain nameless, but I prefer to be known. You may think I am a hypocritical jerk, good for you. I'm not out to impress anyone or to make anyone mad. I'm out here to do my assignment and talk about how I feel. Ok so I may have been a little harsh, oh well you will get over it, probably as soon as you get over this whole cheerleading thing.

It's almost saturday, cheer competition was six days ago. You guys won with a raw score, you guys are the real winners, as i stated in previous posts. I gave you tribute, I just don't understand why you need to drag your cheer drama out a week after the competition. Everyone knows what happened.

loss for ideas.

I want to start this blog off with this statement: kathleen richelle and other cheerleaders, ok you lost suck it up and get over it. You are taking this way too far, if I remember, you didn't get the trophy and CV did. Get over it.

Ok now that that's out of the way, it cleared a whole bunch of mental space because all this cheer drama was stealing all of the webspace all over the internet. Well today was a nice snowy day, and snowy days normally mean that I can't do anything because my road is never plowed. Well, this is my second time on here today, and I still can't think of an idea for a post. I even went to google and searched blog post topics or something like that, and i got a list of 101 and one blog posting ideas. They were stupid, I don't suggest doing this.

All and all, today I basically wrote an entire blog about nothing, but in the mean time made it quite thoughtful at that.

Fidel and Communism.

Down with communism, up with democracy without Hilary Clinton! I think I would rather have Fidel Castro lead my country as opposed to Hilary Clinton. Hilary Clinton would be worse than Fidel for the following reasons: She is a girl, she is married to Bill, she is still married to Bill after his little scandal, Bill sucks, Hilary is a girl, she is a terrible leader, she is old, she is wrinkly, she is ugly.

Fidel Castro is a very bad person but is probably a better leader than Hilary Clinton.

Rock Band.

Rock Band could possibly be the new coolest game, besides the number one best game ever, Halo. Even though i suck at the drums, I'm still pretty dece at the guitar, and quinny was owning it on the drums, so we made a pretty good rock band. Besides that, we got occasional help from Mrs. Q on the vocals and Mr. Q as a bass guitarist. It totally outdoes guitar hero times 1000 and if it was like 40 dollars cheaper it would be a little more reasonable. Although 120 isn't that steep, its still the same price as a disfunctional flip, or an old ipod. It allows hours and hours of fun, perfect for sleepovers where people just want to rock out all night for the whole night.

I happen to have only played it for a short period today, but I am sure that it will not be my last encounter this week, and am 99% sure that everyone will be as addicted to it as everyone else that owns it. I just can't handle it, it gets really really intense sometimes.

A test driver for Road and Track magazine

My dream job would be a test car driver for Road and Track Magazine. Not only are they like the coolest people ever, but they also get to test drive all the cool fresh whips like the new Maserati Edo, or the Lamborghini Reventon. They test the car for speed and shift ratios and stuff, and they also take the car around a test track at some random location, usually Hawaii or some tropical city. So apart from driving sweet cars, I'd also live in some tropical city where it never snows or anything crazy like that. I'd get paid a lot of money to drive cars and push them to their limits. It would be amazing and I would get my picture taken and lots of pictures of me driving sweet cars in the magazine. How cool would that be? Very cool, I know.

follow up

This is a follow up to my previous post about the cheering competition. It has come to my attention that the reason we lost is for a safety violation. Now let me take this time to apoligize to STAC. I'm sorry our cheerleaders are very athletic and can put their heads below their hips when they're in the air. I'm sorry that's a penelty. Or maybe its just some way for UE to get shafted because we're amazing. I don't know. 13 point we won by...we are just that good.

As for CV....I heard a girl was crying, maybe because she won by default and didn't really do anything to deserve what they got...its sad i understand. Again, good job girls you really deserve to win?

Cheering competition.

Today, as many of you well know, was the STAC cheering competition at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena, home to your Binghamton Senators themselves. Well I managed to get in after stealing four dollars of some loser sophmore(Mike Bertrand) and phanangling a parking spot. Lets talk about parking first, or lack of parking for that matter. I happened to be lucky enough to find a spot in the Democratic Headquarters of Broome County, which suits me totally fine because I want to make the democrats upset because they could possibly nominate Hilary Clinton as their party candidate. The US would go to shit if she was president, but thats for a different day.

Well after failing to listen to the signs that said my car would be towed away(which it wasn't) I walked to the arena( a mere .1 miles) to the door, only to stand in line for like 15 minutes to pay STAC 6 dollars for some stupid cheering competition. Why is it six dollars, it wasn't exactly worth it if you ask me. Oh well. I stayed and watched the JV cheerleaders do their routine, which was fanominal I must say, I believe they got a well deserved first place. The Varsity on the other hand was very well put together, but they got a very undeserved second place finish behind CV

I don't understand how this could have happened, I was baffled to say the least. Their routine was almost flawless, except for a drop on a mount, but I can't imagine that taking off enough points to fall to second behind CV. Tyreece was incredible, and that's an understatement. The CV fan club, which was sitting right in front of us, even turned around and was like "well we tried but you guys definatly outdid us." Every year I feel that STAC is rigged somehow, and this year it definatly was. Good job girls and Tyreece, everyone was dumbfounded when they heard who won, but you're the real champions.

Gas Prices( and prices in general)

So it seems as though our energy crisis isn't going to get any better and we're going to be dependent on foreign oils forever. Although gas prices have gone down in the past month...down to 3.06 from a mere 3.24 a month ago, it's still an outrageous amount to pay. And after a short roadtrip down to PA today for some other things, I noticed that even there prices were as high, if not higher, than little old Endicott. Usually prices in PA are 20-30 cents cheaper, so I was quite dissatisfied that I could not get gas on my way back for a cheaper price.

Well this brings me to my next point about how prices of everything are going up and it's so incredibly stupid. This was definatly brought to my attention on Thursday when I went into the pizzeria to commence work, and I couldn't help but notice a wall, actually more like a fortress, of flour downstairs. But it didn't stop there, Maria showed me the some fourteen thousand pizza boxes that her father ordered that should last us until the next milennium.

Even the price of pizza went up from when I first started a year ago at 9.34 to December when it was 10.15(and still remains there....for now). I personally think that prices are a little outrageous and need to be fixed....okay so go at it government!

Morning Announcements

Well, here it is, halfway through my senior year, and not only do I have to worry about scholarships, but I also have to worry apparently about forgetting people's birthdays when I do the announcements. I mean that whole announcement deal may seem pretty easy but in fact, it is quite rigorous....especially when your partner txts you and tells you that she isn't showing up at least twice a week (just kidding jenna). It takes dedication to skip that last five minutes of every first period to make it down to the main office without having to sprint and be out of breath and dying when you get there.

Well story time. So this morning I was very pleased with my announcing job and I even got a compliment about how I'm so nice to hear every morning because im so enthusiastic or something like that. Well no more than 4 minutes after I finished my announcements(and even freestyled a cheerleaders announcement to show up at STACs on sunday, which you should do regardless of if I put an announcement on or not) I was cornered by some random girl who was very take aback about the fact that I neglected to tell the entire school that her birthday was tomorrow.

Well to make a long story short, and to maybe make a little sense out of this blog post, everytime i saw this girl today, she reminded me about how I forgot her birthday(not that I felt any sympathy towards her or anything), so I guess happy birthday. And all and all, you should respect your morning announcement people because they try to do the best job they possibly can?

Senioritis, and Chemistry.

Well, here we are, no more than 5 months away from graduation and I have realized that work really doesn't matter to me anymore...well at least chemistry doesn't matter to me(I love communications work though). Not only do me, Erik with a k and t-blazer sit in the back and accomplish absolutely nothing every single day, but today we took a test, and none of us could actually complete the whole test. We just kind of sat in the back of the room and made jokes and stuff while everyone else was actually working.

Actually we did do something productive during the test. T-blazer made a hand turkey, and said that we should have turkey on Valentine's Day too(its a valid point and i totally agree.) Erik with a k wrote a note about how he hopes that that pop quiz isn't going to be graded and how he was going to blog about it tonight. And I wrote a note about how the safety net should be higher than it actually is because I don't feel like doing much work but i still want to get good grades(sounded like a good plan to me.)

I think i have a bad case of senioritis, especially because I haven't gone a whole period without falling asleep since Regents break. Oh well, I just want these teachers to go easy on us seniors, you know we all got this senioritis disease.

Snow, and my Town of Owego ramblings.

As some of you know, I live on the outer edge of the Union-Endicott school line, close to Mr. Sagasti, except further out. Anyways, Broome county ends like a mile before my house, and also before this quarter mile long hill as you must travel up to get to my house. When it snows its all good and fun, except its so difficult to go anywhere, because the roads are never plowed, and theres only one way to travel, down(because even if you try to go up, you're likely to spin your tires and go down anyways). Well, besides that, its not like I live in a neighborhood and I can walk somewhere, the closest person to me is basically Tim, who lives a good .75 miles away, its quite a hike.

I'd also like to take this time to ramble on about the Town of Owego. This could possibly be the cheapest, most moronic town in all of New York State. They don't use salt on the roads because its expensive and they're cheap. For example, it stopped snowing about four hours ago. Everywhere in NYS will have clear roads(except Owego) by tomorrow morning, whereas Owego must wait for 3 more days to have semi clear roads. Travel is nearly impossible unless you have four wheel drive, and the Nissan just doesn't cut it sometimes....especially trying to get up the large hill I was describing before. Well I just want to end this by saying, Thank you Town of Owego for being the laziest, cheapest, most moronic town in all of NYS

guidance office might as well roll down a hill.

Education. I'd just like to point out how vital this is to todays society, and the union-endicott school system has one major wall between students in high school, and students in college, this being the guidance office. The Union-Endicott guidance office is very very very very very very slow. Not only are they slow at life, they are also very slow in informing you what you're missing. And instead of calling you down once to tell you everything that you need, they call you down before first period, after first period, after second, and so on.

Besides that, lets post some online scholarships with the sites unblocked. Ok, its not that hard to email computer services and ask them to unblock scholarship sites! this is outragous, lets get it together now.

And the final point i would like to make, class rank, whats the big secret? everyone in every other school knows what their rank is well before we do. Its some huge secret and i don't understand it, its really not that big of a deal, if you know it then why not just tell us? Lets increase the communications, and the brains for that matter, Thank you.

Blogs......

I am usually quite computer savvy but i seem to have run into a problem...but its all good because i finally figured out how to add that link for mrs k's sit into my blog. No big deal it just took me like fifteen minutes of valuable halo time. I don't really understand how people can pour their hearts into a blog site, it really amazes me that people actually empty their souls into some website that everyone can read.

I guess its a way for people to unwind. I personally find it very relaxing to play some halo and kill a whole bunch of people while i team up with a few of my friends everynight. We tend to get very intense and carry our games to all hours of the night. I guess i can blog for 15 minutes of that and make it pretty good.

I still get confused as to why people can blog for 15 hours at a time. I undersatnd they can get into pretty heated debates but still, don't you have any other life? I suppose if you could like have live chats and team up with people in some random way to make it similar to halo i might find myself unable to leave the computer also. Anyways, i suppose i could get used to this blogging thing and maybe end up pouring my inner most feelings out, probably not though.
